Communication / International Paper / 1961

A rather extravagantly produced forty-two page book that came in a slip-case.  Eleven and a quarter inches square with several half pages and inside the back cover a fold-out section showing the range of International Paper’s Bond stock.
Lester Beall designed it in 1961 (he also designed the IP logo) and it was his idea to promote the letterhead paper by showing historical examples of communication followed by six contemporary examples.  I’ve kept it all these years because it’s a wonderful example of early Sixties graphic design.
